Welcome to Napanee District Secondary School where by focusing on achievement, culture, and engagement, we aim to create excellence every day! We offer an extensive range of programming that serves our entire school community. We are a true composite school that prepares our students for that next step in their lives, whatever that may be.

The words engagement, achievement and culture form the cornerstone of our thinking and decision making where our students are first and foremost in our minds as we plan events, activities and individual daily lessons. We encourage students to: produce positive results in our personal, academic, recreational and vocational pursuits; conduct themselves based upon positive character traits: perseverance, good judgment, courage, respect, integrity, self-discipline, responsibility, and kindness; and participate fully in personal growth opportunities, through school and community, in order to help define our individual and shared identities and to expand our individual and shared potential.

NDSS has a welcoming atmosphere with a wide range of extra-curricular activities and a dedicated and professional staff of teaching and support personnel. Our dramatic, music and athletic programs are well known in the community for their commitment to excellence. We are located on two sites in the town of Napanee. Our main campus houses about 900 students. Off-site we have a satellite location: our Gateway Learning Centre accommodates adults as well as students under the age of 21 requiring an alternative style of learning.
