Attendance

If you are going to be absent, please have your parent/guardian contact the Attendance Office at 613-354-7514 before 8:10 a.m.to provide a reason. If you are over 18 years of age, please contact the school yourself.

Homeroom and Period Attendance:  Your attendance will be taken during each period of the day and reported to the office. It is important to be on time.  If you arrive late to school, report to the Attendance Office. You will be given an Admit-to-Class clip to show your teacher.  If you arrive late for class in periods 2, 3 or 4, then report directly to your classroom teacher.

Absence: If you are absent for one day, have your parent or guardian call the school at 613-354-7514 before 8:10 a.m.  all each morning if you are absent for a number of days in a row. If for some reason, your parent/guardian is unable to contact the school on the day of your absence, then bring a note of explanation signed and dated by your parent or guardian, to the attendance clerk on your first day back.

Sign out

Anticipated sign out:
If you need to leave the school during the day, you must sign out at the Attendance Office. If you know ahead of time that you will need to leave the school early, (e.g. doctor’s appointment), then give a note from your parent/guardian to the attendance clerk before classes start in the morning. If you are 18 years of age or older, report to the attendance clerk to sign-out.

Unanticipated sign out: If you must leave for unanticipated reasons (e.g. becoming ill at school), attendance or the main office will attempt to contact your parent/ guardian for permission and possible transportation home.  Because class time is important time, students are encouraged to make appointments outside of the school day. You must leave the premises at the time of your sign out. You may not sign out, or have your parent sign you out, and then remain on the premises.
